{"id":8411,"date":"2016-01-06T14:07:53","date_gmt":"2016-01-06T14:07:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ten.co.uk\/?p=8411"},"modified":"2021-08-12T12:05:01","modified_gmt":"2021-08-12T12:05:01","slug":"ten-running-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ten.co.uk\/ten-running-workshop","title":{"rendered":"The running workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Ten\u00a0Running Workshops<\/h3>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re a marathon regular or a weekend jogger, the aim is the same \u2013 to run further, faster, more efficiently and with less risk of injury.\u00a0And that\u2019s exactly what Ten\u2019s Running Workshops are designed to help you do.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does it cover:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Common running injuries,<\/li>\n<li>How they can be avoided (Injury prevention and running prehab)<\/li>\n<li>How to build a training programme to reach your goals<\/li>\n<li>GAIT analysis (Video analysis)<\/li>\n<li>The importance of glute activation, core stability and general strengthening.<\/li>\n<li>Stretching and foam rolling<\/li>\n<li>Review and examples of different running and training styles<\/li>\n<li>Foot strike discussion<\/li>\n<li>Are your shoes right for you? What does the research tell us?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The workshops comprise of a group session and a one-on-one video analysis session.<\/p>\n<p>The group session will last 2 hours, and will comprise both theoretical and practical components, with the latest information and insights on strengthening, stretching and foam rolling techniques, as well as running technique\/efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>This will be followed a separate one-on-one Video Gait Analysis session to assess your running technique, analyse any inefficiencies and injury risks, and help you improve it.<\/p>\n<p>You should bring running gear &#8211; particularly your current running shoes. You\u2019ll leave with workshop hand-outs, a follow-up package and a rather nice goody bag (including one of our quality foam rollers)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshop locations and dates: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our next workshops will be held in\u00a0September &#8211;
